Over 100 Designs for Notebooks Claims Dell Studio

dell studio offers over 100 designs for notebooks
The vanity bug has hit the notebook market too! Dell Studio is apparently offering over 100 designs for its notebooks. This is especially cool for shoppers who are looking to customize their Dell laptop notebooks - I guess Dell is marketing these notebooks to the trendier under 30's.

This is probably a new way of luring customers in this economic crisis. Instead of harping on specifications which you probably will never use or need Dell has instead decided to market the look and feel of its notebooks. Dell announced today that its Design Studio now has more than 100 different design options for customizing its Studio 15 and Studio 17 notebooks. The Design Studio allows shoppers to choose any of the artwork from the catalog and view the notebook from all angles before they order. Some of the works are images while some are colors. Each of the custom pieces adds $75 to the price of the notebook and if a (PRODUCT)RED design is chosen $20 is donated to The Global Fund.

I'm guessing that this will set a new trend in the notebook market and it will be interesting to see if other big players like HP and Toshiba will soon be following this trend. And let's not forget Apple!

Hilarious! My husband just got a Sony in "Midnight Blue." When we noticed the hot pink Sony and wondered how many Best Buy sold of those, the guy helping us said all the girls get the pink one. Dell's really outdone themselves though. 100 designs!
