According to Desinformado, this is the all new iPod Touch. It does look really cool and has borrowed a few ideas from its call making cousin. The second generation iPod Touch sports an amazingly thin contoured body, a 3.5 inch widescreen glass display, 802.11 b/g WiFi, integrated volume control buttons, a built-in speaker for casual listening, accelerometer and Apple's revolutionary Multi-Touch interface. The iPod Touch is marketed as an advanced music player as well as a handheld gaming console.
“iPod touch is the funnest iPod we’ve ever created,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “Users can listen to millions of songs, watch thousands of Hollywood movies and now, thanks to the App Store, download and play hundreds of great games on their iPod touch.”
With the new iPod Touch, users can choose and download hundreds of exciting games such as "Spore Origin" and "Scrabble" from EA (Electronic Arts) on iTunes or directly from the App Store. Various other applications for travel, entertainment, social networking and sports are also available for download. The new iPod Touch works with the all new iTunes 8 which comes with the genius feature as mentioned in my previous post about the all new iPod Nano.
The new iPod touch is available immediately for a suggested price of $229 (US) for the 8GB model, $299 (US) for the 16GB and $399 (US) for the 32 GB model through the Apple Store® (www.apple.com), Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers.
This is an absolute beauty! I'm really looking forward to the gaming feature in the new iPod Touch. Great job, Mr. Jobs!
