Toshiba Portege G810 - Prettiest portege PDA phone?

Toshiba has been making the headlines with its new line of PDA phones - The Toshiba Portege PDA phones. Successful in their portege laptop series, they have tried to leverage this to their PDA phones. The new Toshiba Portege G810 PDA phone looks new and sexy. It also runs on a new software platform unlike any of its predecessors.

Running on the spanking new Windows Mobile 6.1 OS, the G810 is one of the first few devices capable of accessing native Microsoft Office files without having to purchase a separate Office Mobile license. The phone also emits a blue light when in operation which adds a certain cool factor to the unit.

The Toshiba portege G810 comes with a customized skin like other Windows Mobile PDA phones. The screen allows finger touch as well as stylus input. The only problem is that the virtual keyboard is a bit too cramped due to the 2.8 inch screen size. Toshiba presents the UI nicely by dividing the the screen for two panels - you will be able to access regularly used files more easier. The phone also comes with GPS which is quite common for PDA phones these days. The phone is relatively stable and offers both HSDPA and Wifi (Wireless-G) as connectivity options. The phone also comes with an FM radio receiver and is able to play MP3, WMA, AAC and other popular audio formats.

Overall this Toshiba Portege G810 PDA phone is a stylish addition to the portege series. Toshiba could very well give HTC a run for its money. Check out this video of the phone.
