Canon SD1100 digital camera review - must have for the budget conscious

Canon SD1100 digital cameraA lot of readers have been asking what is a good choice for a digital camera around the $200 price range. Well I have to say that the Canon SD1100 digital camera fits this requirement quite nicely. It is stylish, sleek, compact and also has a nice 8.3 Megapixel resolution with Image Stabilizer (IS) technology. It has just enough manual features too add to its suite of cool features too. The camera is available in five colors namely "Rhythm and Blue", "Swing Silver", "Pink Melody", "Bohemian Brown" and "Golden Tone".

This camera is equipped with enhanced face detection technology which is designed to basically recognize faces when you are shooting a photo. It also automatically adjusts the white balance to enhance skin tones. This is really neat considering the price point of this camera. The camera also features a motion detection technology which calculates the movement of the subject you are about to shoot, selects the optimal exposure and ISO settings and reduces the blurring of the image. Isn't this neat?

Overall this camera does an excellent job and is a great buy in its category. This is a good camera for a casual photographer who would like to experiment with his or her photography skills. Now go get one!
